Arguably one of the best American Rock bands of all time CCR sound like they came out of the swamps of Lousiana. However the band originated in El Cerrito (N. Caifornia) where John Fogerty grew up. They had a relatively short but industrious career, putting out 6 classic albums in under 3 years! You can't go wrong with a CCR record (except maybe Mardi Gras). "Green River", "Willy & The Poor Boys", and "Cosmo's Factory" are all astonishing collections.
